This shoot was designed specifically to showcase Headlam Hall’s evening dining experience, with a focus on warmth, elegance, and the refined atmosphere guests enjoy after dark. The restaurant was beautifully lit with candlelight, chandeliers, and ambient table lighting, giving the images a rich, welcoming tone.

All photography and video were captured while the restaurant was open to the public and full table service was in progress. This required us to work discreetly and efficiently around staff and diners, ensuring the experience remained undisturbed while still achieving the visual goals of the project.

Twinkling lights, the glow of wine glasses, and the soft textures of linen and floral arrangements were carefully framed in both stills and video, highlighting the intimate yet luxurious character of the space. Many of the video clips were captured using a motorised slider, with some sequences shot from outside, looking in through the windows. This approach not only added a natural sense of foreground motion and depth, but also allowed us to capture the atmosphere discreetly, often without being noticed by guests. The resulting photography was delivered for use across the hotel’s website and promotional materials.

We also produced a short motion piece to serve as a header video for the dining page on the Headlam Hall website. To help the owner choose the right tone and level of guest visibility, we prepared a preview video showing three versions:

• Video 1: Recognisable diners throughout the sequence
• Video 2: Fewer clearly recognisable individuals
• Video 3: Subjects are largely unidentifiable, prioritising privacy

This allowed the hotel to make an informed decision about public-facing use. Once approved, a final cut was delivered with tasteful motion and no sound, allowing the visuals to integrate seamlessly into the website experience to enhance the online experience.
